Looked beautiful at first, but started flaking off after a week. Did all the precautions and followed the steps. I'm so bummed!

I bought aftermarket exterior door handles for my truck. They were shiny black plastic. I scuffed them with 1000 grit paper and painted them matte with this and they look fantastic. I'll come back and update this review and let you know how it holds up. (Today's 10/31/2025).ONE THING THOUGH - It looks like I'm the only one who's ever read the warning on the can - and JEEE ZUZ. "Not for sale to the general public" (nice QC, Amazon!) "Contaminated clothing must not be allowed out of the workspace." "If inhaled: remove the victim to fresh air ..." VICTIM?? "Store locked up." The fumes of this stuff are POWERFUL and LASTING - DAYS after the work is removed from the area. Wear gloves and a mask and work outdoors.

This paint turned out great. I used a few coats with about 10 minutes in between on 34 year old rubber mudflaps for my Honda. Refreshed and brought back to life. Highly recommend. Make sure to shake well and use the included sprayer. You only need to be about 3 inches away and know what you are doing when it comes to applying spray paint. Would definitely buy again!

Very pleased with this trim paint so far. Used it to paint the grill on my 2000 Tacoma. Used Rustoleum adhesion promoter after scuffing the plastic with a gray scuff pad, and the chrome border with 80 grit sandpaper. It provides a nice matte finish and the spray is pretty good with no chunks/spitting. I can't comment on durability because the application is relatively new. The imperfections in the picture are due to dirty hands handling the grille during installation. It really provides a nice finish.

I used satin to spray the center console/radio area on my 2003 Ford Ranger. Looks great. Matte probably would have been fine too. If it peels or scratches easily, I’ll give an update. I sprayed directly to the plastic. No primer. No adhesion promoter.

Never realized how good this product is, until I bought a can and used it on my 2000 Chevy motorhome! It returned the old luster to all the plastic areas on the windshield area and other black plastic areas. It is very easy to use and the instructions are very clear and understandable. I'm ordering more for my older RAV4!!

Great product from a smaller company that offers quality at low prices. It is comparable to SEM adhesive and paint for half the price. Easy to use. And durable after cured and sanding. SEM trim paint can easily burn through. Their paint primer and adhesive promoter is amazing for the price.

This is a very good product for renewing plastic, I recommend purchasing it.

Paint all the black plastic one my truck made it look brand new worth it

This stuff is awesome! Forget about all those back to black things they dont work. This is a perm fix and looks great! It made a old looking Toureg come back to life. You should look up how to use a spray can though before painting. Theres a certain level of skill required. Otherwise, your ride may end up looking even worse.

Well, I'll be using this for other projects as I thought this was textured... it's not. It's just matte black spray paint. Really nice stuff tho and dries nicely on plastic trim.
